Whilst we did sell our family home and were happy with the sale price it certainly wasn't a nice experience getting there. For starters we weren't acknowledged by our names in texts and emails. Pressured into accepting offers that were presented within a day despite us explaining to Don we were waiting on our finance to come through for our next purchase, 10 business days for approval is a normal amount of time for banks. Although during this time our financial position was disclosed to a potential buyer. I was told by Don our broker is hopeless. When another offer was presented to us, Don explained to us that the buyers are very nervous and we must have the offer signed by lunchtime. My husband was in a meeting all day which I explained we would sit down and review the offer first thing when he comes home from work to which I was met with a very rude Don. He proceeded to tell me that we weren't serious in selling our home and you guys worked it out and practically hung up on me. I felt when we first signed up with Don that we were in great hands as he knows the area but it did not feel like Don was working for us or with us at all. The realestate agents who were selling the property we purchased ( who weren't even working for us) were absolutely beautiful. They hand delivered the keys and a lovely present to us and rang us to congratulate us on the sale and our finance. Unfortunately Prowest did not have this extra touch of client services. I feel like selling your family home is a huge deal and you want it to be a nice experience, for us it was not. I will mention though Don was very helpful when it came to final inspection requests.
Don is a total professional with a wealth of knowledge when it comes to real estate. He always kept us informed in a timely manner worked his due diligence to sell our house. I would definitely use Don in the future if I required any further real estate dealings.

Don Asplin was great to deal with. Initially Don sat down with us and explained the sale process and what we could expect from him in regard to selling our house. He explained all the costs involved in selling. There were no hidden extra costs. Don explained that he was working for us and he certainly did that in a very professional manner through the whole sale process. Don had great experience and knowledge on the preparation of getting a house ready for sale and he explained what we needed to do to obtain our goal. We followed his lead. Don engaged a very experienced photographer to take the house photos and the photos were great. Don achieved with the sale price what he and my wife and I thought our house was worth in the current market. He worked hard to make sure he achieved that.
