Donna’s memory first impressed when she somehow remembered our first meeting at an unrelated open inspection in 2007. I didn’t buy that particular house, but when it came time to sell the one I did, in 2015, she was still in the business and in the same area – great to see that level of continuity and geographic specialisation. She was initially a very close ‘runner-up’ in our agent-selection process, thanks largely us being harangued by the ‘winner’ from another agency being that little bit more of a ruthless salesman – but in the face of this, Donna was still perfectly gracious and showed her true colours as a very genuine person with high ethics who had our interests at heart. Meanwhile, the other agent and agency showed their true colours too – and they were immediately so spectacularly opposite as to bring about their dismissal, meaning that we appointed Donna after all. Having finally got properly underway, Donna’s attention to detail but strong founding in ‘reality’ gave a useful perspective to what we should pursue in the final preparations for sale; we also appreciated her moral support throughout this difficult phase, to the extent of her getting on the end of a broomstick ahead of the photo shoot! She was also totally flexible with the materials and approach for marketing, and the pricing – something we were very, very appreciative of, having seen the contrast elsewhere. In the end, within 24hrs of just being online and well before even the first open, we had two groups of buyers through the property, both of whom offered at the very highest end of our advertised range, and a contract signed. The settlement process then went totally smoothly, so all up we are very happy indeed! We would wholeheartedly recommend Donna.
