I consulted Duncan 6 months before auction & he provided an honest opinion & realistic expectations for possible sale. There was absolutely no 'hard sell' & his information was provided in a balanced & professional manner. Once we decided to proceed, he promptly provided renovation & marketing options, all very clear & of significant value for money. We greatly appreciated the advice and assistance of Duncan Gordon of R&H Newtown and team (with special mention to Steven Bryanton) . We took Duncan’s styling advice and the house looked fantastic for what was a very minimal cost – it is a pleasure to live with it so nice even if only for a short period. Priceless for us was being able to access R&H’s wide range of tradespeople as we were finding it impossible to get someone to fix a difficult piece of guttering/balcony that needed to be done pre sale. Apart from that we used their internal painter, landscaper, cleaner, and gardener saving much time and effort looking ourselves with consequent risk of poor work. The photography and printed material were outstanding. Duncan and Steven hit the right note at the open inspections, and communicated with us effectively – meaning not too often in the early stages of the process and more often later – just right in fact. The original price estimate of the house was overstated but we suspect buyers now pay a premium for a house that needs minimal work and is pristinely finished /plastered rather than one with more space and character. We are extremely happy at being able to move on with our plans. Thanks again to the team !
