I recently sold my biggest asset, being my home. It was a successful campain largely because I worked with an agent that I believed was professional and could add value to my efforts. Met with Gary more than 2 years ago knowing I was planning on listing in 2019, however these plans changed and I took me another year to list. Gary knew my area, knew the recent sales and could provide professional advice on when to list, who my target market was and how to maximise my sales price. In the end we decided to list in July due to the lack of houses on the market and a good supply of buyers. Two main options sell the house as is OR spend some money to refresh the property. I took the latter option and in the end more than doubled my return on that investment. Whilst a lot of pre work went into presenting the house, the property sold within a week of listing and it sold for pretty much the value Gary had expected. I listened to his advice, we discussed reasons for that advice and we worked together to achieve the result. Whilst I had other options for an agent I went with my head, and chose an agent who seems to sell a great deal of properties in my area.
Gary advised on how to best present the Home to potential buyers this included giving us cost for the Plan which did not vary, in fact we got a rebate at the end of it all. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions the Home was only on the market for 12 days before Gary recommended we pause the Marketing Plan until the Covid 19 effects became clearer. All this was at no cost to us. When the Home went back on the Market it was only another 17 days before a contract was signed. His timing was perfect, not only that he got an additional $12000 above our asking price. Gary was easy to work with and nothing was a problem to him.
