This was a fairly simple sale. The house sold itself within a month and only $5k off our asking price. Hayden presented himself very well and followed through with all of our requests. It was a pleasure working with Hayden. Then everything went south. Sorensen started working for the purchaser of our property. The purchaser engaged Sorensen to lease the property for them so Sorensen started the leasing campaign, utilising photographs we paid for without asking our permission. I personally contacted the agency and spoke to the person in charge of leasing arrangement for Sorensen who stated that it was in the contract to show the house to perspective renters three weeks prior to us vacating the property. This was only agreed to verbally but in hindsight, we should have declined. After contacting the agent in charge of leasing properties and informing her of the conflict of interest and the unauthorised use of the sale photographs, she became quite defensive, boarder line aggressive. I then informed her that the purchasers may use our photographs as long as they paid 50% of the costing. We were quoted the cost of the photographs being used was $200 (I find this hard to believe) and that they will approach the purchasers for half the cost. As for the conflict of interest, she has stated that there was none. This and the heavy handed tactics used such as: Threatening to cancel the open house will delay the sale date, Falsely stating that the three open houses to prospective renters was written into the contract, She spent over an hour with my conveyancer organising the legal requirements to show the house to prospective renters prior to the sale date, and No engagement of Sorensen rental department prior to posting our home on the rental market, was in my mind, a gross betrayal of vendor - real estate trust.

But his most important trait, not so common in business these days was his youthful honesty.
