She was always available to answer my many questions, and she went out of her way to help me find solutions to issues that arose during negotiations with the vendor. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her to purchase my property.
Initially for a short time I tried putting my beautiful property on the market myself without appointing an agent, and I am SOOO! happy I changed course and appointed Heidi & Stuart Aitken from McGrath Estate Agents. I've been amazed at how much work they have done tirelessly, cheerfully and professionally - and all their work paid off when they procured a sale in the midst of a pandemic. The qualities that have most impressed me have been their love for their calling (and for my property!), their patience, their ability to remain positive when others would see no reason why, their clear and honest communication and their practical advice from the tiny issues in preparing the property through to the big issues of pricing and negotiation. If the real estate profession were filled with people of this calibre, it would be a revered profession! I wish them well.

Heidi always conducted herself professionally and courteously. She always provided thorough feedback. Her communication was always concise and honest. Although I would suggest that McGrath provide better information regarding all possible scenarios prior to advising the seller to purchase the building and pest, this is not a reflection on Heidi rather McGrath processes. The sale price was good but slightly below expectation.

Buying or selling a house can be a very stressful experience. I didn't find that at all with my recent purchase through Heidi at McGrath, Byron Bay. Heidi has a calm, warm and trustworthy nature that was so refreshing compared with the 'typical' agent. At the initial stages of organising viewings, Heidi was efficient and easy to deal with - it's amazing how many agents simply don't return calls! I really enjoyed meeting Heidi and Stu when we inspected the property. They were knowledgeable, they had ideas for future renovations and really helped me to see the properties' future potential. Although Heidi worked hard to get the best price for her client, she did not alienate me or turn me off in the process. She listened, kept me engaged and ensured the negotiations were fair to both parties. For that reason I believe we both walked away happy with the result. I would be delighted to work with Heidi and her partner Stu again in the future and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy or sell a property in the Byron area.
