Jacob was excellent. Communication was so thorough and consistent. Even if there wasn't anything new to tell, we still received a phone call weekly ++ to keep us informed on everything that was happening. Naturally as an estate agent, they are working primarily to get a result for the seller, but as a buyer, at all times we felt that Jacob had our interests in mind too. He took time to answer our many questions and find out from the vendor when he didn't have an answer. And given that the vendors where out of town and working remotely, contact with them was rarely easy - but Jacob took it in his stride. He is certainly hardworking, knowledgable and honest. Can't ask for much more than that! Will definitely engage Jacob next time we are buying or selling.
I had already listed our house for sale in Millard Street. We were going to sell it ourselves and felt quite capable to do so. We met Jacob when looking to purchase a new home. After several discussion with him, he encouraged us to give him a go with our listing - but I set some pretty high expectations. Jacob met and in some cases exceeded what we wanted. With the greatest outcome being that he had a solid offer on our house within 9 days of him listing it, and moreover, he achieved $17,000 above our starting price! And for a home in the lower price bracket, that was quite impressive. Jacob is an outstanding negotiator (without being pushy). Like many people do when they decide to sell their home, we made the decision to sell our house ourselves and save on real estate agent commissions. And given the industries we are in, we were confident that we would have / could have done so successfully.
