James and his team kept us informed all the way through the selling process. James was always available to talk to and responded to our queries promptly. The market changed so quickly, so we had to adjust our selling price.
James Goulopoulos… what an agent. My partner and I have recently purchased our dream home and went through Barry Plant Real Estate Ivanhoe and worked with James. From the initial outset James was charming and charismatic... however once the deposit was paid it was like he turned into a different person. James stopped answering our calls and even calls from the bank/mortgage broker. We had a call from our Mortgage Broker to contact our agent James as he wasn’t answering calls from the Bank, who were trying to organize our finance. Once we finally got onto James, after multiple attempts his response was “Well you have got me now, what do you want”. We also tried to contact him and give him 6 weeks advance on our 90 day settlement to get blinds measured. He would not confirm a time or date for us and mentioned that “he is busy and may not have the time”. His rude and condescending tone throughout this process was very hurtful. We had to get our solicitors involved to get James to answer these calls and get the ball rolling in regard to finance being organized and obtaining access to the property for the once off blind measurement. The tipping point for us was when we saw that James and his team put the sold sticker on our property and posted this on their social media. This was extremely disappointing as my partner and I wanted to share this special moment with our new dream home together, our first home as a couple! Once we picked up the keys, there was no call from James or the team, there was no congratulations it was a simple handover which felt completely transactional and impersonal. Dealing with James and ‘Team Goulopoulos’ was beyond disappointing, and I wound NEVER recommend them to anyone. We were left disappointed with the lack of service and blatant ignorance from James.
James and his team are professional, knowledgeable and were a pleasure to deal with. My husband and I highly recommend James and his team. James sold our property while we had moved interstate, he made the process stress free and seamless with his recommendations for services to maintain, showcase and style our property.
