We started the process of selling when health dictated it was time to move. To get an idea of the market we attended an open house and met James. James called back following the open house as part of his followup and so we invited him to come and talk. We had two agents look at our house and settled on the presentation from James. The house was styled immediately and the three week process started. Although we were not keen for an auction we accepted the decision and this process. If you are looking or an agent to sell your property James is the one for you. Every other real estate we spoke to before James at harcourts were telling us how much we weren't going to get for our property rather than how much we could potentially get. James advised me on a few small things we could do like marketing and cleaning up the property to maximize the sale of our house. Why did I choose James? I had been thinking about selling my house for a while and had about for real estate agents through before I contacted James. All of them were in my house for about 20 minutes. They looked through the property, most told me a list price and what I needed to fix before I could sell it. With James it was very different. He spent 2 hours with me the first time we met. 90% of that he was talking me through the process of marketing, the various ways to sell a house and what they each meant and then the different ways to list a house. It wasn't until all this was completed that he even looked at my property. He made sure I understood the entire process first before he even looked through the house.
