James was the agent and auctioneer at a recent auction we attended. He had a great relaxed but professional style which I really felt put everyone at ease. Auction's and house-buying can be a stress-full experience - James obviously understands this and goes out of his way to treat everyone with honesty and positive communication. We didn't get the house on this occasion but I still came away hoping we get to deal with James again when we find our house!
We used James and the team at Hudson McHugh to sell our Elswick Street property in September 2015. We made the decision to sell in June and spoke to several agents about the sale. It was an investment property, and as we lived in Melbourne and had been watching the market, we weren't entirely sure who to go with (had earlier thought we would go with McGrath). However, after James took the initiative to visit my husband and I, and after we met with him, we felt confident it was worthwhile going with them. At that point we had tenants in the property, however James worked tirelessly to find them an alternative rental in order to allow us to market the house vacant. He was a pleasure to work with through that process. Subsequently we found him to be very responsive and an excellent communicator through the sales process. Most importantly, at the time of sale, we found him to be extremely capable and were very happy with the result, particularly given the market movements, and would have no hesitation in recommending him. Overall, a great guy and really worked hard to achieve the settlement we wanted.
I just bought a property through James. Very satisfied with the result. This man was very helpful during the period of time purchasing the property. I really appreciated that he opened the property for inspection when I just dropped in his office and asked him to do for me without any pre arrangement. ( according to my experience, most of agents I met said simply "no" and said come on day arranged for inspection). If anyone need help buying or selling property, this man is very recommended. He's got outstanding skills and knowledge of real estate market. Very good manner will be just bonus on top of them.
