We found Jamie to be a most personable and approachable agent. He is very knowledgeable of the market in the Shoalhaven area and provided sound and credible advice. He made the process of selling our house stress free and bearable in particular because of his pleasant personality and manner. He maintained constant communication with us all through the journey.
In hindsight I would not auction again unless the market is very buoyant. Obviously the success of an auction is dependent on the number of buyers at auction......who are actually able to buy! My first thoughts when the house went on the market that auction bidding would push the price up. Jamie got over 30 inspections which is fantastic. From this according to Jamie you would expect at least 10% (>3) at auction. Unfortunately there was only 1. Other potential buyers who liked the property were not in a position financially to bid. So with this in mind it may have been better waiting till the other buyers were in a better position which would have meant cancelling the auction and waiting. In terms of viewings Jamie and team did really well, opened up and ensured the house was ready for viewing and provided feedback after each viewing. However the house was unoccupied most of the time. At auction Jamie and team did really well in getting the best price. Some other factors may have gone against us but we will never surely know eg termites, however these were cleaned up and a formal 10 year warranty received. Regards, Andrew Sykes
