Buying a first home should be an affirming experience! Sadly my experience was soured by the way I felt treated by Jamie. Before exchange, Jamie was charismatic and friendly. However, after exchange he was curt, non-responsive, and dismissive. It made me feel manipulated and it felt quite two-faced to me, like it was all inauthentic. Related to this, I found his communication on a number of issues unhelpful and at times misleading. I feel like it would have been a lot easier and nicer if the communication could have been more forthright but that was not the case. Instead it felt tricksy and dishonest to me. Would I use Jamie as an agent if I were selling? From a seller's point of view, it doesn't really matter if he treats a buyer poorly after exchange. However, I think I wouldn't. There are plenty of agents out there, and I'd want to pay someone who is going to treat others with more respect and decency than what I experienced from Jamie.
