We have known Jay Alcock for a while whilst slowly preparing our property for sale. So he was a natural choice when we finally decided to sell. At no point did he put any pressure on us, but assisted us with practical advice and guidance whenever it was needed! What impressed me most was his professionalism and thorough attention to detail. He would leave no stone unturned, and provide us with detailed progress report along the way. And all of this whilst keeping a good humour and relaxed manner in sometimes stressful times. When selling our house we interviewed 5 different local Real Estate Agents. From the first meeting we found Jay helpful and very knowledgeable in the local market. His initial indication on the value of our house and current market conditions worked out the most accurate against all other agents. We also got the indication very early that Jay was willing to work with us in a "partnership" and was not only concerned with his commission. Working in "partnership" with an agent gave us a comfort level that Jay would be working in our best interests. Jay provided a number of different suggestions around the different options in selling the house (e.g. Private Treaty or Auction). After talking through the pros and cons of the different options we jointly agreed a plan that in the end provided the best possible outcome. Jay provided a number of good suggestions (within our budget) to help prepare the house for sale. Both before and after the sale Jay always made himself available to answer questions and discuss any concerns we may have had. During the open home process Jay kept us updated on the different potential buyers (and probable non buyers). At least weekly we discussed and jointly agreed next steps. Early in the process a number of low offers were received and rejected. The week before the Auction was scheduled a higher offer was received and after some good advise from Jay the house was put on the market. Within 24 hours Jay had contacted all potential buyers and was able to obtain a final sale price $80,000 higher than was offered the day before. After the sale Jay has been extremely helpful in providing ongoing details and pre-settlement next steps. We would highly recommend Jay and First National Frenchs Forest to anyone selling a house in this area.
