I had been wanting to sell my apartment for several months but can't put up with the usual barrage of calls from estate agents, so the first time that I bumped into Joel, he was walking out of the lift and I was walking in of our apartment lifts where we both lived and a quick chat revealed he is an estate agent. So I agreed to exchange numbers and in the following week we met up in my apartment to discuss the selling process. One great thing I like about Joel's agency Inhabit Property is that their commission is not fixed like other agencies, whereas Inhabit's selling fee is based on a range of 1.8% to 2.8% based on the client's satisfaction of the service provided. So at the end of the day, it is the client that sets the selling fee/commission based of the effort and hard work provided by the agents. I asked Joel what if every client only pays the bare minimum commission, he responded that he is happy and grateful for whatever they decide to pay in the range provided.
