The areas you require a star rating for were largely untested. I believe Joel to be a competent real estate lister and seller. He was certainly personable and helpful.

I was introduced to Joel Van Kalken through Cairns Beaches Realty Property Management, he was aware of our circumstances in that were selling the property now living in England. Firstly he appraised the property and gave us his valuation, how to achieve the best possible price and his Fee structure. The property required a small amount of work to bring it up to scratch, which he organised hassle free. The property initiallly had several people interested but not at the sale price, but that did not deter his enthusiasm, he eventually managed to talk to a couple from Melbourne and persuaded them that this was the property for them, they excepted the sale price and paid the deposit, unfortunately a few days later they had to pull out due to financial reasons, but by the end of that day he had spoken to a local lady who had shown interest in the property previously, but had been pipped at the post by the previous couple. Joel cajoled her into paying the asking price and by the next day, he had achieved another sale, that sale has now been completed. Joel is a proper gentleman and through his determination ensured that the property sale was completed satisfactorily.

Joel is without a doubt a real estate agent I would want to buy or sell with anytime. He is up front, but in a nice way. Not someone who just talks for the sake of talking and happy to bend with my work scheduled. I could not have had an easier time seller my home than I did with Joel. The photos he chose for the web and newspaper were spot on as well.
