I spoke with three agents in the first instance. Johanna was straight about the state of the apartment market in my area, pitched a realistic selling price and recommended the cheaper advertising option because she felt it was better value. Her communication during the campaign leading up to auction were frequent and to the point. When the property didn't sell at auction on a very rainy day, Johanna continued to contact previously interested parties and made enquiries with new prospective buyers when the property was listed for private sale. We eventually got an offer which was just above the reserve price that was set at auction. Over a two day period, she managed to get the buyer to big against themselves and they made a higher second offer.
Jo worked extremely hard to sell our unit in a pretty flat market. Given the relatively low commission, many agents would not have expended much effort. But Jo went all out and we felt as valued as any other clients with high value properties. Our auction was listed on a day where major flooding was expected - no fault of Jo! The auction was not a success but Jo worked hard to follow up with interested parties and the property sold shortly after auction. Throughout the process Jo's communication was prompt and thorough.
