John provided us with " the point of difference" in selling our property
It is often said that the only difference between a second hand car salesman and a real estate agent is the product and sadly that is what many of us experience, fast talking, feigned interest and a desire for a quick close at a price you do not like.
Having sold another property last year for a lot less than the agent ( not John or Elders real estate) said I would achieve, and a strategy that I was not that I excited about, I set out to find a point of difference in agents who worked the Loganholme suburb.
Having attended 8 open homes to "feel out" the various agents working the area I came to the conclusion that indeed, there was a point of difference and that is John Jessop.
What are these points of difference that make this property sale a winner for me.
John brought all his team of agents through the property to assess the value, it confirmed for me that I was asking the right price, no pressure from John to up or lower the price.
John made sure he captured the details of all comers to view the property ( surprisingly, very few bothered when I did my 8 home inspections, even though I was not buying I could have had other motives)
John's follow up is thorough and feedback is constantly provided.
Most importantly and the stand out for me, John expressed an even balanced voice tone whenever he was in discussion with me (clearly he has been in the business for a long ,long time) , no hyperactive talk that "this is the one" and "sure to sell this week" stuff which really upsets sellers when the promises do not eventuate.
The property was sold in under 4 weeks for $2000 less than the list price and with no anxieties my end created by choosing an agent that did not gel with my thinking.
