Purchasing a property is always challenging. However it is particularly so during a Covid lockdown when it was not possible to travel to view the property. Dealing with John and his team at Whale Coast Realty made it easier and I was able to get a impression of the property sufficient to make me feel confident to purchase it, sight unseen. Having since been able to view it, in person, I am happy with the impression I formed. John provided realistic answers to any questions. He was patient and did not seem to pushing me into a sale.

I was disappointed by the amount of pushiness, asking us to pay a deposit without a contract. They couldn’t manage the vendor expectations while we waited for banks and valuers to do their work during lockdown. It was beyond our control and they just made it stressful for us. They showed no skill in managing the situation. They didn’t do anything to sell the property to us, didn’t even meet us onsite to view, they only hassled us and then collected their commission. They didn’t update the website to say the property was under offer. I have bought 8 properties, this experience was the worst.
