A massive thanks to John and his team. Had possibly the most difficult seller in history, according to her neighbours, conveyancers, body corp etc. But John walked us through everything, it was our first home, did everything he could above and beyond, any hour of the day or night. Still weeks after settlement, he has been in contact and ensured we are settled in and doing well. He knows his stuff, he is no amateur. I cannot fault my experience with John from Coronis Stafford. My husband and I were first home buyers and we had a particularly difficult seller thrown in the mix. Over the months of searching for our first home we dealt with a fair few agents and John really stood out. Right from our first inspection of the house through to moving in, John was extremely helpful, professional and kind. Unfortunately, my experience with John and his wife Gigi was not as pleasant as the other reviews here. I thought I was engaging Gigi but was quickly passed onto her husband, who promised to only list my property if he completely believed he could achieve the required price in our currently booming market. As the first offers came in, he seemed to be working on me rather than on the buyers to achieve a quick sale. I was promised no marketing costs, but after 1 week ‘on his books’ I was hit up for over $2400 in marketing costs. After our first viewing, I was regaled with tales of how many people came through, however, my neighbour commiserated at the poor turnout and my security camera sadly confirmed it. Particularly disappointing was coming home to find him standing outside, on my driveway with no notification, after agreeing this particular day there would be no viewings and someone un-accompanied inside my home with my valuables accessible. Surprisingly for me, as they both made it very clear that as the seller, I am not insured should someone steal my valuable’s. After pressuring me into selling well below my required price, he had distributed a letter to all my neighbours with the contract barely signed, to inform them of what a great job he did selling my home and alluding to receiving well above price. Particularly disappointing since firstly he hadn’t done a good job and secondly, I had requested confidentiality. Interestingly enough to avoid a bad review he even withdrew my house as sold on ratemyagent.com.au so I could not review him. Thanks to the lovely folk at ratemyagent.com.au that fixed that. It has been my experience is that John is the kind of real estate agent that tells you what you exactly want to hear, then puts the pressure on to sell well short of the agreed price. It’s very clear his sole intention is for the quick sale and speedy commission no matter what the cost to you.
John had excellent knowledge of current property values and the best way to market our property. He was able to answer any questions quickly and clearly and was very reliable and professional.
