We bought a property through John and he has never been responsive except the time he wanted us to sign the contract. We notified him of the settlement date 2 weeks in advance and told him we will pick up the keys on the settlement day but when we contacted him on the day of settlement (Friday) we were told he has lost the keys and he is not sure where they are. He said he will try to find them and give it to us on Saturday or Monday at the latest. Today he told us he doesn’t know how many keys there are and he will try to give us the main door key tomorrow as he going into town today. How come an agent loses the house keys?? He couldn’t even keep the keys safe, imagine handing him your house? On top of it, He initially told us that the house was on market since July and now he told us that it was in the market since Jan which is why he doesn’t have the keys. The only key is with the tenant. He is very unprofessional, lazy and irresponsible. Even the seller told our lawyer that he is lousy so go figure. All in all very bad experience. No consistency in the information and can’t be trusted.
