We engaged Jon to sell our home in Port Melbourne. From the outset, John was informative pleasant and well organised. He set out a specific tabulated written program for the lead up to our auction which from the very start was immensely useful to help keep us on track to be ready for the auction day. Having myself been involved in dealing with clients purchasing and selling property for over 40 years (but I am not a real estate agent) and therefore very experienced on the periphery of the industry I was very familiar with the overall process. In addition having bought and sold a few properties over the years I had also had personal experience. However, Jon's management of the whole process was far superior to anything I had ever experienced before. In particular, the information and feedback that he gave regarding potential buyers and the marketing interest during the open for inspection period prior to the auction far exceeded what I had ever experienced before (or seen from clients of my own) from an estate agent. During my last experience some 10 years earlier selling a property, we found that we were getting no feedback either regarding the interest in the property during open for inspections or the views of potential buyers. Jon was quite the contrary. The detail with which he was able to inform us regarding individual buyer's positions in relation to their ability to be a purchaser as well as their views and attitudes in relation to the property provided an excellent insight for us to be able to make proper realistic assessments of how to proceed both before and on the auction day. I have seen some real estate agents boosting client's expectations but without any evidence to support the expectations and then clients becoming extremely disappointed and disillusioned when the market realisation hits.
