Joe was fantastic. He responded quickly to our calls/emails (including our initial enquiry, unlike a popular agent at another Devonport agency) and put an extra effort into keeping us up-to-date on the marketing and sales process. He was happy to support our proposal for a sliding scale for the agency commission (rather than a flat percentage), and his expert knowledge of the local market meant we were able to set realistic expectations. We were able to rely on that same local knowledge for a recommendation on a reputable local conveyancer (Rae & Partners, who were fantastic too). Joe was patient with our need to think different things through, yet when needed he would gently prompt us without ever being pushy. In particular, the combination of an extensive Harcourts rental roll and Joe's skill in finding and fostering potential purchasers (such as current landlords who might be looking to expand their property investment portfolio) resulted in a strong offer we were happy to accept, without having to go to auction. Such effort and attentiveness in the lead-up to his wedding (congrats again Joe!) was exceptional – and he was back on the phone to us after his honeymoon to check in on us prior to settlement. From the first time I met Joseph at an open house, until the "Sold" sign went up on my property, all of our interactions were a positive experience. His communication throughout the process was brilliant, keeping me regularly updated, & responding to my numerous queries promptly. His market knowledge of property value was fairly spot on, but if he didn't know an answer, he liased with his supportive Harcourts team & replied very promptly. He was at all times professional, polite, kind & extremely helpful. He was flexible with meetings, appointments & open houses, & accommodating to my work hours, family commitments, pets & livestock on the property.
