I bought a property, Julie is the agent. On the settlement date I was told there are some keys the owner dont give back and will post to me later. I was surprised as the agent is supposed to remind the owner give all the keys on the settlement. Which more ridiculous is, it was almost two weeks passed after settled, I still haven’t got the keys. Then I rang her many times, but she didn’t pick up the phone or called me back. I had to send message to her and try to figure out why it takes such long to get the keys. What her reply is because now is close to Xmas so it will take longer time. I was not satisfied with this explanation as my other mails and parcels from different cities arrived on time. Then she changed her excuses again, said the owner posted the keys bit late. I really doubt what she said, so I contacted the owner in a straight way to chase up the keys. The owner said they posted the vey next day to the settlement date, and we just found Julie gave them a wrong address to post. I’m so surprised and disappointed. As a agent, she didn’t help to the buyer to do whatever she should do, but made excuses even lies to clients. Avoid this property agent will give you a pace of mind.
