To be honest, I will give her 10 stars if there is a button to do so. This is our first home, it was back and forth and there was some moment we almost give up on buying it. However, with Karyn's help, finally, we can achieve our dream. She is very reliable, patient, and knowledgeable. Though her recommended solicitor (MKN Legal) and Building and Pest (Compass BP) also are excellent choices which help us a lot from headaches and time. 21 Shaun sale review Karyn Fairbanks This was my first time selling a property and boy was this a struggle. From the start the agent Karyn Fairbanks(Asset Realty) reached out to me daily to get my business after my enquiry looking for a selling agent. Unfortunately once I had signed the contract with the agent and the marketing fees had been paid the communication and updates dropped to zero. If you tried to reach Karyn it either goes straight to her voicemail or says the message bank is full. I was hoping there will be any form of improvement later on but unfortunately not. I did rarely receive(maybe twice in 6 months after sending many email and calling attempts) any updates on how my property is perceived in the market nor how many people booked an inspection and when was one actually scheduled. It took almost 6 month to receive an offer in the end. Just before settlement both agents(my selling agent and property manager as this was a rental property) completely left me in the lurch and had not been able to communicate between each other risking a delay in settlement and I had to get involved. To top it all off I had to chase Karyn for the deposit that had been paid into the agents trust account to be released into my account and even had to threaten her with fair trading before I got it. She did not call me nor apologised or anything for the really bad experience and all the hassle I had to go through. NEVER NEVER again with this agency, I don’t know about the other reviews here but I just can’t believe they are genuine in light what I had to go through.

As a buyer through Assett Realty my experience has been overwhelmingly and consistently negative. The seller very nearly lost the sale due to their unprofessional, rude and dismissive behaviour. What should have been an exciting and joyful time turned into a nightmare of stress, anxiety and disappointment. From the moment we signed the contract all communication went cold - an almost total communication blackout. We were forced to chase down information required from them, while also pointing out mistakes they had made and which we had formally asked for information on multiple times. Nothing. This was on a property of well in excess of $1million… you might think that would buy you some regular polite service from this agent, but you would be incorrect. The agent misrepresented the inclusions on the property (as we subsequently discovered for ourselves) and when questioned their response was simply “oh, mistakes like this happen all the time.” So, for this agency it is normal practice to “make mistakes” of this nature as part of business-as-usual. As the buyer, these excuses appeared only to cover up their ignorance of the property while simultaneously removing any responsibility they had to offer any pathways toward satisfactory resolution. Perhaps the most gobsmacking part of our extraordinary and negative interaction with Assett Realty, and Karyn in particular, was her response to our continually unanswered questions where she finally fired back a response curtly and rudely stating (this is verbatim and we have the evidence) “Please address your concern to your solicitor as our legal obligation ends once the contract is signed and dated”. So there you have it. Assett Realty will knowingly misrepresent a property, get your signature on the contract, then absolve themselves of any and all responsibility. We never heard from Karyn or the agency again. My experience with this agency, and both agents - Karyn and Liam - was terrible and I cannot recommend.
