This is to anyone looking at selling or buying property around Pakenham, I am wanting to share our experience in the hope to save You & Your family from the heart ache we had and most importantly money when buying or selling your most valuable asset. We listed our property over 9 months ago with a well-known agent in lakeside, Let’s call them agent #1 when this agent stepped into our home we sat down and they discussed the sale price we wanted to achieve, which in high insight we should have let them tell us what the place was worth not us tell them*Mistake 1. The enthusiasm and charisma of this agent gave you the impression your house will be sold by tomorrow; we were told to start packing which we began to do after all Contracts signed * mistake 2. We then had the next agent through (as you are told to get a few agents when selling) Even though agent #1 was already chosen in our heads because they said they could get us our $dream price. Agent #2 was very well presented, very honest about our home and very knowledgeable in the area, this agent gave a very honest opinion on where our property would sit in the market as of Today, this was below agent #1’s price, however we couldn’t get agent #1 price out of our mind, they said we could get a lot more for our home and who doesn’t go after the extra cash. So contracts all signed and open days started rolling in, people came and people went this went on for MONTHS, slowly we began unpacking our belongings that we were told to packed, we were told by this agency our property was dead in the water by open 4, that is only FOUR weeks into our contract WTF people. I was by week 8 suffering from anxiety and having moments where it was just too much and I couldn’t cope with the complete lack of communication, and the enthusiasm was just gone, we were than palmed off to a completely different agent to who signed us up. The signing agent had given up and had moved on… WE were not the Quick sale they wanted and we were pushed as
