As I was the buyer and not the vendor on this occasion I know that she was at the end of the day working for Vendor and she clearly did this very well ensuring the best possible price. I was though disappointed when I offered the asking price (which was accepted) and then had to renegotiate and compete with another buyer to secure the property even with a reasonable signing period subject to provision of the strata report - reflects poorly on the industry's integrity - but all's fair in real estate I guess
