Kim has sold two properties for me in last three years, one a farm on the Mornington Peninsula and the other an apartment in East Melbourne. I would never work with any other agent. Her knowledge of the market is excellent, her ability to communicate at all times can’t be faulted, her calmness in the case of occasional hiccoughs was a bonus, and her professionalism is second to none. Her willingness to go above and beyond what is usually expected of a real estate agent has been equally impressive. I was overseas much of the time the apartment was on the market, and absolutely invaluable to me were the tasks that Kim performed on my behalf in my absence - arranging window cleaning, apartment cleaning and the removal of some furniture into storage to mention just a some of them. Issues regarding settlement, again done in my absence, were resolved by Kim with speed, efficiency and always with good humour. I didn’t use Rate my Agent to choose Kim. I met her when she was selling my farm and, when it came to selling the apartment, I never considered employing the services of anyone else.
Kim McQueen was very highly recommended to me, so I had extremely high expectations when I contacted her. I was not disappointed. Indeed, she has even surpassed my expectations. I am not a novice in buying and selling property over many years. No other agent in the past has ever matched Kim’s professional approach. Throughout the entire process of selling my property Kim kept me fully informed on enquiries and inspections. I greatly appreciated her frankness and advice. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for her. Indeed, even after the property was sold she went out of her way a several occasions to water some pot plants for me. Kim clearly has a respect for both buyer and seller and it was because of this and the trust it engendered that she accomplished the sale most professionally. Best described initially in reference to a property we did not buy. We were quite enthusiastic about this house having driven past it, and appreciated its traditional look and location. And we knew it had been subjected to a dramatic renovation. At the appointment we were shown through from the entrance and were amazed at the bedrooms and bathrooms, and the quality of the design and thought that had gone into the main living area. We were somewhat concerned at the compromise to the size of the living area however, and collectively spent a considerable amount of time trying to work out how to rearrange furniture or renovate to reallocate space or extend outside walls. None of these ideas passed the test of practicality or cost. In a extended prowl we found some other concerns - external wall cracking, tricky access for cars for example - and Kim was balanced in discussion of all these issues. We also had seen the sales contract which was unusually tilted towards the Vendor and we could see a problematic transaction. Kim was disappointed on behalf of the Vendors but had represented the house fairly. Our brief to Kim had been single storey for an aging couple, but we were on an exploratory so she offered to show us a near new modern two storey house soon to come onto the market. Not what we were expecting to be drawn to but we were delighted with the house and realised that the ground floor would if necessary be adequate for us. Subsequently Kim carefully and honestly navigated Vendors and Buyers through a pre-listing transaction to its successful conclusion.
Having bought and sold several properties over many years it has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Kim who sold our home without having to go to market. She is an outstanding, extremely hard working Agent , who communicates with honesty and incredible integrity and her follow up is exceptional.
