Lauchlan was a fine and knowledgeable agent. However, his support staff left a lot to be desired. When I agreed to sign with Lauchlan, it was specifically on the condition that some specific tasks be undertaken as I was not in Melbourne at the time. Lauchlan agreed but not all of these tasks were completed. This of course came up during the opens and then during settlement when the buyer wanted to know where the gate clicker was. His staff instead of turning the lights off used the master switch. This shorted out my internet, my security cameras, and as it turns out the air conditioning unit. The air conditioning unit became an issue during settlement on the buyer's final inspection. I ended up having to pay for an air conditioning repairman to come out and fix it. However, there was nothing to be fixed as it turned out it had been shorted out from the master flicking However, the most frustrating thing was when my Saturday open was changed at the last minute to a 9 am session. No one showed, of course, and I missed a key and very pivotal weekend as a result. I got an okay sale price, but I felt I needed to sell after having missed the pivotal weekend open and doomsday market. I can't with a clear conscious recommend the agent due to the additional stresses from the mess-ups. Selling is stressful enough, without having to put out fires at the last minute.
