Brilliant agent. 5 Stars.
Lee sold us our Hunters Hill property 4 or 5 years back, and we were delighted at the smoothness and professional of that. Very honest and straight forward and not pushy, and that is NOT something associated with a lot of agents! When it came time to sell, we again touched base with Lee.
We of course canvassed other options from competing local agents around the same time. Everyone of course has “the finest agents, best sales rate, lowest cost, best advertising, best website, and best local contacts.” Sure thing. I am a successful career salesman, and have heard it all before. No others impressed me at all.
Anyway, Lee worked out a palatable marketing package, explained all the various options very well and objectively, and was always responsive and attentive. We ABSOLUTELY did not favour Auction, no way. Lee did not push it, but outlined the strong benefits of giving him a time dated 3 weeks campaign to put a fixed date pressure on any interested parties. If it did not sell at auction, we would change horses, and he would list it at an agreed fixed price.
Was NOT our preferred option, but he and his equally charming and trustable colleague Nicholas Cowdrill quietly gave us some scenarios where it can work better than fixed price, so we bowed to their suggestion, and their coal face experience - that is WHY you pay an agent.
Lee updated us without fail soon after each open inspection, calmly and frankly, and did not gild the lily. We were auctioning in the mad COVID crisis era, and the market was swirling with understandable doubt and nervousness, and cautious banks were tightening the purse strings etc.
We had the auction and Lee skillfully negotiated with the only potential buyer, and within minutes, after a usual little price dickering had a signed unconditional contract for us under Auction Conditions, and we had a 10% deposit in the bank. VERY happy, in a tight and nervous COVID market that we had a quick sale. Absolute TOP marks to Lee.
