I interviewed four agents from my area. Three of them were rather pushy, & each spent at least an hour telling me how wonderful they were & how much training & experience they have - then insisted on selling my house their way. They assumed that I was brainless & had no idea what I was doing & would be incapable of deciding if I would prefer a private sale or an auction. One of them insisted on a private sale, one of them insisted on an afternoon auction. The third agent insisted that they would have a twilight auction held in my living room, with all of the prospective purchasers sitting on my couches being served champagne & canapés, and then using my bathroom - even after I gave him numerous reasons why I would not be doing so. Thankfully Leigh Hall was nothing like the other agents. Leigh presented the facts & allowed me to make up my own mind. I was told by two of the agents that I definitely need their stylists as my decor was unappealing (& of course I would pay for this service). As I had, not one but, "two" interior decorators come through my house to critique my styling, before any of the agents, I knew they were trying to sell me an unnecessary service. Leigh Hall looked at my decor & told me not to change a thing. Leigh offered to sell my house for a fixed percentage. The other three all "insisted" that I pay a higher percentage than Leigh was asking for - BUT only up to up to a certain amount & THEN I would have to pay an additional fee - an "incentive fee" of between 20 - 30% for every dollar over that amount. Absoultely NOT a good deal for me, but fabulous for THEM. I am so happy that I went with Leigh Hall. Compared with the other three agents he was a breath of fresh air. He was honest, humble, courteous, friendly, non-pushy & not out to rip me off. It was a pleasure doing business with Leigh & his team from the start to the finish.
