We were tentative to use a "non traditional" real estate model but after meeting with Lynette Smith from Purple bricks all our fears were put to rest. From the beginning we were sold with the Purple Bricks (PB) sales concept. It was new, exciting and refreshing to see a company that went against the typical high commission charged by real estate agents. As we had experienced pressure, unethical tactics, lack of transparency and high commission fees from other agents in the past, we were open to PB and what they had to offer. Initially, I thought when choosing PB "whats the catch" surely they (PB) couldn't offer just really competitive rates which by the way blows traditional agents fees out of the water. Yes, one of the major factors was the "in our pocket savings" as with traditional agents we were looking at a cost of approximately $19,000+ to sell our recent property. PB charged us $4,500 flat rate. We cannot see why or how traditional agents can charge the extra $14,500! PB use the same/similiar database, Domain and Realestate.com platforms, professional photographers and professional sales staff. From the initial meeting with PB, I was amazed at the 'good old fashion professionalism and honesty' by PB agent Lynette Smith. I can honestly say we trusted Lynette completely as she brought a wealth of experience and knowledge. Lynette exceeded all our expectations - her communication was exceptional, she was easily approachable and dedicated to selling our home. Right to the end, Lynette was a talented negotiator and was able to sell our property for a fantastic price. PB online system using "Lawlab" for our contracts and "Docusign" eliminated the old time consuming method of printing off documents, finding a JP or similar and providing further information to them, registered post and further waiting days if not weeks for a reply. The PB process is a simple user friendly system that was just brilliant. Anyone who asks me "would I recommend PB and Lynette Smith?" Absolutely yes!. Lynette was easy to get in touch with throughout the sale and she also kept us up to date on the progress, for example: how many came to the open inspections and how many could be potential buyers. With the normal business trading hours being the same as when my husband worked, it was good that Lynette could come to us for any paperwork signing, etc. This helped to be able to get things done quicker than normally could have. I would highly recommend Lynette to any potential seller.
