As first home buyers we had no idea of the processes of buying a house. Initially the agent was fine to deal with. However, we soon experienced the agent as quite pushy and further down the track rather rude. We felt it very rude and innopropriate to be told that “the vendor wished they had sold it to another buyer” and very rudely asked why settlement had been pushed back and that “the vendor is not happy about it”. Might I add, this was also said in front of our 5 year old niece who was excited to be seeing the new home we were buying. The agent was also annoyed she had to come show us through the property for a second inspection despite the fact I had contacted her two days earlier to find out a time that would suit her. I also contacted the agent 5 days prior to settlement to arrange the final inspection in which she didn’t get back to me until about 4 hours before settlement was due to take place in Melbourne and I was stuck at work. She said she would arrange for the lawns to be mowed which never happened. Unfortunately, having to deal with the rudeness of this agent really ruined our first home buyer experience. Also, the property was settled over a month ago and the sold sign has yet to be taken down from out the front. Unfortunately I would not recommend this agent to friends and family after our experience, it was not enjoyable.
