My wife and I recently engaged Suburbia, led by principal Mark Larmer, to manage the sale of our one-bedroom inner-city unit. They were recommended by a friend who had successfully sold her unit in the same building through them. Mark responded quickly when we first contacted him. Within a few days he had inspected the property and presented a clear marketing proposal. He was easy to deal with and explained the sales and marketing process in a straightforward way, which gave us confidence that he and his team would manage the sale effectively. Throughout the campaign, Mark and the Suburbia team provided valuable and timely advice. This included preparing the unit for sale by fixing minor defects, replacing the bath sealant and completing touch-up painting, as well as decluttering by removing furniture and appliances. They also arranged professional styling to make the unit more appealing to buyers and developed a well-considered marketing strategy, including guidance on pricing. Communication was excellent. Suburbia set up a WhatsApp group chat so we could easily share documents, updates and questions with the team. As part of the marketing campaign, they produced an excellent walk-through video highlighting the unit’s features, arranged advertising on Zango and Allhomes, and provided guidance on engaging a conveyancer and coordinating the property styling. Mark kept us well informed throughout the process. After each inspection he reported on attendance, buyer interest and any negotiations underway. He also ensured we completed all required documentation and that everything was properly coordinated with the conveyancer. Settlement proceeded smoothly and we were very happy with the outcome. We were extremely pleased with Mark and the Suburbia team and would happily engage them again to manage the sale of future properties.

We had a really tight timeline to get our house ready for sale before Christmas, and only 1 week to prepare the house once it was vacant. They coordinated with all the various vendors for us, such as replacing our carpets, patching walls, fixing eaves, and various other bits and pieces, in addition to the staging and photos and walk through video. They made the process so much easier and stressfree. They log all their buyer communications and interactions to be viewed live, you can really see how much work they put in behind the scenes at all odd hours. They gave excellent advice and also honest opinions, which ultimately made a huge difference in the final sale of the house. Will especially was extremely helpful and responsive to us, even well before they were our agents. He connected me with a solicitor on very short notice (3 hours before the auction!) and gave me great tips on auctions and bidding strategies which also helped us secure our forever home. Definitely recommend anyone who is selling their house to go with these guys, you won't regret it. The quality of service and communication is excellent and exactly what you need when selling such an important and valuable asset.
