My wife and I recently engaged Suburbia, led by principal Mark Larmer, to manage the sale of our one-bedroom inner-city unit. They were recommended by a friend who had successfully sold her unit in the same building through them. Mark responded quickly when we first contacted him. Within a few days he had inspected the property and presented a clear marketing proposal. He was easy to deal with and explained the sales and marketing process in a straightforward way, which gave us confidence that he and his team would manage the sale effectively. Throughout the campaign, Mark and the Suburbia team provided valuable and timely advice. This included preparing the unit for sale by fixing minor defects, replacing the bath sealant and completing touch-up painting, as well as decluttering by removing furniture and appliances. They also arranged professional styling to make the unit more appealing to buyers and developed a well-considered marketing strategy, including guidance on pricing. Communication was excellent. Suburbia set up a WhatsApp group chat so we could easily share documents, updates and questions with the team. As part of the marketing campaign, they produced an excellent walk-through video highlighting the unit’s features, arranged advertising on Zango and Allhomes, and provided guidance on engaging a conveyancer and coordinating the property styling. Mark kept us well informed throughout the process. After each inspection he reported on attendance, buyer interest and any negotiations underway. He also ensured we completed all required documentation and that everything was properly coordinated with the conveyancer. Settlement proceeded smoothly and we were very happy with the outcome. We were extremely pleased with Mark and the Suburbia team and would happily engage them again to manage the sale of future properties.
