All was going really well with the sale until it came to the cooling-off period. I didn't launch a builder's report, when I bought the property three years before. A foolish but not, as we all discovered, an irretrievable mistake. Thanks to Mark, everyone involved brought a willingness to the table; cool heads and good hearts prevailed in the challenging period that followed. If the situation hadn't already had a foundation of generosity, trust, professionalism and experience, when the cooling-off began, the sale probably wouldn't have happened. The fact that it did is an attribute both to the purchasers, the house and to Mark's commitment and willingness to find a solution where others would walk away.
