We initially met Matt as we were working through the purchase of a property with the Avenues at Highfields. From this initial contact we found Matt to be very honest and personable to deal with. He was clear with the process that needed to be followed on the sale of our property and updated us regularly on how things were progressing. To emphasize the service provided to us from Matt was that the actual offer on our house was negotiated on a Sunday afternoon, where Matt had to cut short a golf game on our behalf to manage the offer and then after work made the trip to our house to sign the contract during the week. In addition to the sale of our house, Matt also worked with other members of his team in regards to a property that we wanted to purchase which he personally was not managing. Through all this Matt has been able to effectively sell our property for an agreed price, and assist us in the purchase of a new property in the space of 2 months. After finding us our new home before it had actually gone on the market, Matt then found a buyer for our old home even before it had been put on the market. All the way through this process we found Matt to be excellent in his communication with us re keeping us up to date with all activities involves in the purchase of our new home and the sale of our old home. Most happy to speak on behalf of Matt Hawkins, an Agent we had by association. he was selling the house we purchased. Must admit I have not been a big fan of the Industry, always viewed it as a bit verbose, self serving and the costly for what you get. That opinion for main stream real Estate Agencies has not changed. Additionally I have found most Agents a bit the same, verbose, keen on a sale at all cost and to hell with the needs of the seller and buyer. Many of them are more keen on marketing themselves and not the property. Happy to report Matt has blown that perception out of the water. This bloke is very grounded, open, honest and comes across as a real facilitator with an agenda of win-win for the seller and buyer. Now that is what you want in an Agent. No use one party going away from the deal disgruntled. Now I will admit that some of the buying process was painful but Solicitors and owners were the proverbial thorn in the side, not the agent. We had a number of property viewings and a ton of questions for Matt. The answers were succinct, on point and when it was difficult, he got back to us. Although he was working for the interests of his vendor, you never felt a situation of "this is the property, take in or leave it". Matt was keen to consider you an equal partner in the selling and buying equation. I am keen to engage with thinking and situation aware Agents. It was good that he took an interest in our situation and tailored his responses and feedback to the seller with my needs in mind. At the end of the day, keeping the person on side that is going to spend a gazillion dollars and get you a sale is important. Lastly, when the deal is done, cash is paid and no benefit or gain is apparent you can seperate the good Agents from the average. I called him for favours long after the event and I got the same helpful and engaged response. That rates and is worthy of serious praise. Well done Matt.

We were looking for a property after selling in Toowoomba, stumbled across one in Highfields that Matt was marketing. I have always had a somewhat indifferent attitude to Real Estate Agents, possibly due the air headed ones who think they are gods gift to marketing, the industry and the wider community. Thankfully Matt was the exact opposite, he came across as very down to earth, relatable and interested to help progress the sale. Whilst we acknowledge he was working for the vendor he didn't exude a "this is the property, take it or leave it" attitude. He always came across as trying to get a win win result for the seller and buyer. He was polite, accessible, always got back to us and chased up issues. You can tell if an Agent is genuine by the support and responses you get after the deal is done. Even a week after settlement he was willing and able to quickly answer our question.
