We had listed our Campbell house for auction, but a couple of buyers put in pre-auction bids in the lead-up week. After a flurry of back-and-forth offers some of the buyers offering pre-auction bids started expressing frustration at the pre-offer process, even though they were the ones who initiated it. Melissa skilfully managed these tensions, maintained her professionalism, and gave us good advice about what we should do throughout. We ended up getting substantially more than the absolute bottom price we were prepared to accept at auction and towards the top of our expected range. We were glad to go with her. We got more than 25% above what a different agent quoted us as an estimate just a year earlier (although we knew this was a substantial underestimate at that time).
This was my third try with an agent and I got introduced to Melissa by our tenant. Reluctantly I had a chat with her and almost instantly I knew Melissa was the right fit. On the day of auction we ended up selling for 60k over the recommended price of the other two agents. I didn't write this review out of obligation but because I would truely recommend Melissa to anyone who wants to sell their home for the best price possible. She is honest, kind and an incredibly caring person who made the process of selling our home so delightful.
