Good agent and team; less acceptable agency sales practices.
By many measures Pam Thomas and her competent team may be deserving of their recent sales award but we cannot reconcile this with other aspects of our Ray White buying experience.
Three Opens-for-Inspection were held during our signed Contract cooling-off period, without notifying us and with no advertised "under contract" acknowledgement. As buyers we felt extremely demeaned in our credibility and the credibility of our Offer. Moreover, the property was at our insurance risk during this period.
How much time had we previously wasted inspecting properties that were in fact sold?
The Ray White Group may try to justify this legal but arguably unethical practice "in case the contract falls over", but we believe their sales process lacks transparency and this practice is more about promoting the brand and, in our case, promoting an upcoming "Auction Event".
Most certainly it meant we went elsewhere to very successfully sell our own house (with no cooling-off period OFIs), meaning one lost potential sale for the Ray White Group.
