I chose Paul Chapman over several other agents because he impressed me as being the most down to earth and interested in my wishes as a seller. Paul proved to be a straight talker but he was also a very good listener. Rather than wasting time telling me how great he was, Paul gave me a good understanding of how the current market was for my locality, my style of house. He then gave me some options as to how my home could be marketed and which way he thought was best for me, and why. We discussed price, he wanted to know what would be an ‘acceptable’ price for me but also, what did I think would be a ‘great’ price. Paul clearly explained every move he made and gave me a huge amount of additional help and understanding throughout the entire process. This was right from the beginning, how to get the house ready for market, what to do and, importantly, what not to worry about. He helped by recommending excellent tradespeople and a brilliant cleaning company. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. All of this took a lot of anxiety out of the entire procedure. Given it was the middle of winter, and the state of the WA housing market, I expected it would take quite a while to sell but it only took Paul two ‘Home Open’ weekends and one extra viewing to bring me two offers. I happily accepted one that was very close to my ‘great’ price and the sale was finalised ‘fuss free’ after a desired short settlement period. I couldn’t be more pleased with the efforts of Paul from start to finish. I believe he really looked after my interests. He proved to be straight forward, diligent and definitely a man of his word.
