We interviewed five real estate agents. The particular company mattered less to us than the presentation, personality and experience of the agent. We wanted someone who would represent us as we see ourselves - professional. We did not want to be represented by someone who looked like a used car salesman or engaged in chatty superfluous dialogue simply to secure our business. As first time sellers, the ideas on how best to sell our property were paramount to our decision process. Ours was a modest but lovely little govvie with extensions to living areas and had a beautiful established garden. Once we moved out, the house seemed small and it was difficult to picture how we had had fit our lives into it. Peta was the only agent we interviewed who brought fresh ideas to the process. She initiated the idea of leasing furniture to display the home to best show it off - something we had considered but each other agent interviewed said was a waste of money. Peta was friendly, without fake banter, highly experienced clear in her provision of detailed information, treated both my husband and I as equals in the process and it didn't hurt that she held a cracker sales record in comparison to others interviewed. Initially we believed we should go to auction and were hesitant to budge from this idea, however we trusted Peta's instinct to place the property on sale as 'by negotiation'. Her expertise rang loud and true when we were presented with several offers well over the estimations provided by her competitors. Peta's sound advice throughout the sales project was excellent. We cannot recommend her enough.
