I first made contact with Peter following the sale of another property in our street. I was going to be away for that auction and asked him to ring me with the result. He did so promptly. We briefly put the house we recently sold on the market for a private sale which was unsuccessful and were advised that an auction in early March 2017 would secure the best result. Peter's advice regarding the timing of our recent auction - 4 March - was spot on. So was his advice with advertising suggesting the Internet first (with a surcharge to ensure the property always appeared on the first page), then print media (Domain and Weekly review). Peter rang religiously after inspections keeping us informed of buyer interest and general foot traffic. His feedback always struck a necessary balance of positivity and level-headedness. By that while he was working to reach our reserve price he made us aware that prices in any market can fluctuate and so showed good caution not lifting the price bar too high. This had the effect of generating a lot of interest in our property and, therefore, a superlative sense of competition during the bidding on auction day. Peter also organised for SkyNews to film the auction live which added to the theatre of the sale. All in all a great service provided and great result.
