What inspired your decision to join the real estate industry and what excites you about your career?
I have always had a passion for property – whether it be rental or investment properties, commercial properties or renovating properties, I have always had an interest in all aspects of property. Julie and I established Professionals Cairns Beaches 10 years ago in 2008.
What is a brief summary of your working history?
I am an accountant by profession and spent over 12 years of my working life in the motor industry including 10 years as a Finance and Insurance manager. Julie and I were part owners and I was the Dealer Principal for a Ford Dealership in Western Australia.
Where did you grow up and why do you now choose to live in Cairns?
I grew up in Bunbury, Western Australia. After selling the Ford dealership, Julie and I travelled around Australia and ended up in Cairns. We recognised the opportunity in the area and the lifestyle and warmer weather appealed to us. Cairns is a great place to raise a family and enjoy the outdoors.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I enjoy motorbike riding, boating, snorkelling, politics and renovating properties.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?
From a business point of view, my goal is for Professionals Cairns Beaches to be the go-to place for all real estate needs on the Northern Beaches of Cairns. I strive to be the market leader and see our staff grow and develop as the business grows.
