Long before I had any reason to believe I would be needing to engage Rob's services personally, I had already heard nothing but good things about him (and all from the one woman in the world whose opinion I valued above anyone or anything else; my own mother). She described him as no-nonsense but reassuring, approachable and personable, said he spoke to you with a cheeky candor without sacrificing his professionalism (and I noted he never treated me any differently than he would an older, male client). As for his skills as an agent - I am admittedly naive when it comes to real estate, particularly so as a late millennial existing thru the COVID-19 pandemic and having seen the 2008 GFC go down (almost literally) right in front of my face. Rob made certain that I understood the process before I even signed the exclusive right to sale and was always prepared to answer any questions I may have had (even if the answer was what a dodgy agent would consider "to his detriment"). At no point did I feel like a fish out of water. Our property (formerly my late mother's) was sold within the week. Rob put me in touch with an arsenal of professionals whose assistance made the process infinitely smoother and spared my bereavement from being re-triggered. He fully understood and never questioned the bind I felt I was in and just as he never patronised me due to my age or gender, nor did he make me feel ashamed, embarrassed or useless for having mental illness (obviously exacerbated by grief and my de-facto role as my younger brother's sole carer - who, by the way, was also afforded the understanding and compassion he deserved). I'd like to give a particular hand to his secretary Rebecca/Bec at Nicholas Scott who went above and beyond for me when she had no obligation to. Our new home is beautiful, suits our needs perfectly, and we are all so pleased (incl. our cat Ziggy), though a little sad the process is over; we will sincerely miss Rob and the team at Nic Scott. :')

Rob, though an estate agent in Yarraville, grew up and lives in Brunswick. He had a good understanding of Brunswick real estate and appreciated that my unit in Brunswick East was always going to be a difficult sale to achieve what I wanted, even in a relatively buoyant market. The property was too small for most buyers, who were very vocal in this regard, and purchased by me for well above it's worth. Rob had a challenge ahead of him but he approached it head on with gusto. He referred and took an interest in the styling of the property striving for maximum impact, and persistently pursued potential buyers, though the message was always that it was too small and many not prepared to pay what I needed. I could not afford to drop my reserve, but breaking even was starting to feel unattainable even with a steady stream of people going through the property. When it was looking dire, Rob pulled a rabbit out of a hat and secured an offer. Rob managed to negotiate that offer up to get me the minimum amount I was willing to accept, and the unit was sold. Thanks to Rob's tenacity, I managed to sell the property in the small window of opportunity I had before interest rate rises were announced and a less buoyant property market was on the horizon, saving me thousands. I am very thankful.

Selling a home can be disruptive and difficult. Rob's help minimised that difficulty. He helped with finding a gardener, people to clean the house as well as people who helped to de-clutter. I never felt pressured to march to his timeline but with his superb team all the pre-sale work was done quickly and efficiently. The staff at Nicholas Scott were superb and they all contributed to a wonderful result. The photographer Chris and the videographer Simon, were first class. The first OFI was April 30 2022. Rob told me he would sell it in the coming week. I didn't believe that was possible. How wrong I was. The house was sold by Wednesday 4th May 2022. For the right price. Thank you Rob.
