My wife and I had never purchased a house before and we were acting for my elderly brother who was downsizing. We interviewed 2 agents and selected Barry Plant – Doreen to be our agent based on the presentation made to us by Rob Drinkwater. I was obvious from the start that Rob is a capable and enthusiastic guy with a good knowledge of the market. He was well prepared at the start and answered all our questions and generally put us at ease despite our inexperience at selling a house. The garden was a bit neglected and the house a bit cluttered and dirty and Rob was able to advise us exactly what needed to be done to prepare the house for sale. We spent several weeks decluttering and then using a gardener and a cleaning lady recommended by Rob the garden was upgraded and the house cleaned ready for market. Rob gave us realistic advice on what price to expect for the house and then the house went on the market for private sale. The result was a pleasant surprise. It sold on the first day for above the upper range of the estimated price. We were rather stunned at how quickly the house sold and the excellent price obtained.
