Given that I have been living in Queensland for each sale, it was comforting to know everything was being managed and I really had nothing to do. I understand that the selection of a solicitor can be a personal choice by the seller, perhaps in my situation i.e. living away from Canberra for some time, perhaps some guidance on my choice could have been given which may have lead to a more streamlined Settlement process.
