I was introduced to Sam Abboud via Open Agent who gave me the contact details of the 3 best performing real estate agents in the West Brunswick area. I interviewed each by phone. This was during the major Covid lockdown in Melbourne in 2019-20. Sam's professionalism and comfortable manner made him the stand out of the three so I gave him the job of selling a 2 bedroom apartment in Brunswick West. Sam had sold units in the block before this which was handy as lockdown restrictions prevented anyone entering the building and you were only allowed to look at the outside if you lived within a 5 kilometre radius. This was compounded by the fact that my sister had recently passed away in the apartment and as it was weeks before she was found a bio-hazard team was called in to gut the apartment which had only recently been upgraded. the whole operation turned into a mammoth project in unprecedented times with major hurdles to over come. I was in Brisbane so couldn't get to Melbourne to oversee the project so Sam and I talked regularly and when restrictions were lifted Sam already had teams ready to tackle the re-fit. He sent me regular photos of samples of kitchens, flooring, funishings etc with full quotes from the tradesman who he had contracted to install them. Sam handled each hurdle with aplomb, keeping me well informed through the whole process which took over 12 months because of the Covid complications. As the situation and local sales conditions changed Sam recommended an auction. The end result was a record price for the block and I was over the moon with the result. I couldn't recommend Sam any higher. we have become long distance friends as it really was an adventure from start to finish. Sam handled every complication with professional ease.
