I found Sam to be the most credible, hard working agent you could possibly hope for. He kept us up to date on a daily basis regarding inquiries and potential buyers for our property. This property was not even in his locale, it was in Chester Hill (a 40 minute drive each way from where he is based at Castle Hill) and yet he still he organised and attended 5 open home inspections and other private viewings leading up to yesterday's auction, held on a Sunday! (10th December 2017). His engagement of Stu Benson as the auctioneer on the day was a stroke of genius. Together, they managed a fantastic result with 8 bidders and 32 bids to finish the auction with the house sold for $810k ($80k above the reserve price). I attended an auction last week in the same street through a local agent and the result was dismal by comparison. That house was on a larger block with duplex potential (our block was too small) and the home was quite modern with no need for any work to be performed on it. Their auction was very poorly attended and resulted in it being passed in at $781k with only two opportunistic bidders. This house was sold the day before our auction for $795k. I recommend to everyone that they do their research when looking to sell a home. Don't necessarily engage a local agent who hides behind his shopfront, in this day and age of the internet there is no need to. Thanks again to Sam for your outstanding effort and a fantastic result!
