We started our property search in June 2018. We were looking for 2 bed apartment in Northern Beaches as close to Manly as possible. During the search for our first home we have viewed almost eighty different properties. We have come across many different real estate agents too. At the beginning of our property search we felt like some agents were taking advantage of us. We had very little knowledge and experience of how things work when buying your first home. We were lucky enough to have the courage to hold our ground on a couple of occasions when we were being pushed towards making a purchase by a hungry agent. After several months of being the best friend with realestate.com and countless viewings we knew exactly what we wanted. We also had a much better understanding of how things work than at the begging of the buying journey. We found this apartment listed under Simone Sinclair. Since our first inspection we knew that we were very interested as the apartment fulfilled most of our requirements. Simone was extremely helpful and professional with arranging private viewings outside hours. Her prompt responsiveness and professionalism when answering all those questions (some of which were probably pretty silly) made the whole transaction actually quite enjoyable. Throughout the whole negotiation process we felt that Simone was not trying too hard to convince us to do something that we wouldn't feel comfortable with. Unlike some other agents we previously came across. What we really appreciated was that we felt that Simone was being honest and wasn't making up stories to accelerate the price. When we moved in, we couldn't make the dishwasher work. Simone again showed her professional qualities and sorted the repair - free of charge. We engaged Simone just as the market was starting to plateau and the newspapers were doing their best to cast gloom on real estate prices. We were also not 100% committed to have to sell, so if we didn't get the price we were after, we were happy to hang on to the property and refinance. Despite this, Simone worked above and beyond to work with us and the buyer to come up with a price that we were happy with. I can only assume the buyer was also happy, as they went ahead with the purchase. You can kid yourself that you could do better going alone with a web based sale, but I have no doubt that Simone's hard work added at least $100k to the sale.
