Hard task made easy.
Steve met with my wife and I to sell our beautiful family home. We knew we wanted an auction, and the existing reputable expertise/agents in the area were not as comfortable with Auctions based on our knowledge of them. Some of the agents were over the top with unnecessary glamour, more to prop up the Agent's personal marketing we thought than to sell our home (we didn't need the potential buyers to have a wine, cheese and caviar sit down session!!). Other's just didn't seem to be confident. Steve was holistically sensitive to our communication style and needs, and this, coupled with his trustworthy and down to earth style, matched our comfort with his objective market appraisal. Sellers always want more, but after meeting a few agents we found Steve was realistic whilst also aiming for a little more than the other agents we had interviewed prior to committing to Harcourts. His plan for the sale, and negotiation of fees was reasonable. He was always polite, courteous, professional, and never displayed any short temper even during times of occasional stress. He answered all calls, made necessary calls, and was to the point. He elaborated on answers to questions that we had about the process. Communication is crucial, and our home was at a substantial price, as it turns out a record for Glenhaven for the 2016 calendar year. Communication was definitely a strength of Steve's and is always the cornerstone of any service. The communication with the conveyancers, solicitors, etc was also handled by Steve proactively, necessary during matters that were under time pressure. His gentle manner was accompanied by efficiency with the formalities, uncommon amongst real estate agents in our experience. His office staff were equally singing the same tune as our agent, further ensuring the process of the sale was a machine well oiled. We would happily use him for a sale or purchase again, and we cannot normally say this about real-estate agents, given their reputation.
