It was a truly bullish market when we listed our Byron hinterland property. It sold to the first person in a handful of days. For that we have given 2/5. Where the so called 'Team Tara' fell down was after sales care. We were overseas and corresponded via WhatsApp. No issue. Once exchanged we agreed to buyer visiting the empty house on 2/3 or so cases but accompanied by a member of 'Team Tara'. Friends were staying in the house having sold their own place via the same agent and being unable to travel to their new home. These friends agreed to vacate the house when the visit was to take place. Day came and they get a message directly - where's the house key kept? Replying - dont you have a key in your key safe, the answer was yes but we cannot find it. They also said no one was to accompany the buyers – that had been agreed with us. Luckily a spare key was left and our friends came back 6 hours later. Our friends were very worried as we had told them that a staffer had to be present on any visit. I heard this, called, only to be told I was wrong - that was the agreement. The next day I received a message (no call) from Tara to say sorry they had screwed up. I asked where the key was – to date I am still waiting on an answer. So strangers were allowed into our house where our possessions were, and our friends private possessions. Our insurances would have been void and our lawyer was equally as livid and the buyers lawyer was embarrassed. Realising how they had screwed up, ongoing we received very limited but highly guarded messages. On completion we received a brief emoji decorated message to say 'well done', that was it. Having just given them the easiest sale and a fee of over $105,000, Tara didnt have the courtesy to pick up the phone. Such arrogance. As the owner of many businesses if my sales staff had not called the client after such a deal, all hell would have broken loose. I also emailed this tale to 2 directors of First National - 2 weeks on and not a word.
Tara is warm, friendly and very professional in all she does. She has vast experience and knowledge of the local scene and is very supportive with regard to your property goals. Tara does not pressure you but rather gives you time to consider options and then works hard to achieve your goal. Her team provide excellent support and you definitely feel confident that they have your best interests at heart. We were delighted with the outcome of our sale and are grateful to Tara and her team.
